Dr. Herron earned his Medical Doctor degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 1972. He then went on to complete his two year residency in Internal Medicine at Hines VA Hospital, followed by a two year fellowship in Gastroenterology. With board certification in Internal Medicine, Dr. Herron went into the family business, working alongside his father.
Along with treating patients in his capacity as both an Internal Medicince and Gastroenterology doctor, he has participated in multiple clinical trials over the last thirty years and has been published several times in medical journal.
Dr. Herron is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterologists, and the American Association of Gastroenterology Endoscopy.
Kimberly earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2000. She then went into Critical Care Nursing, working in the ICU and the ER. Before coming to work here, she worked as a travel nurse, which allowed her to work at various hospitals around the country and see the sights! She is certified in ACLS and BLS.
